Turkish overall export unit value index fell in the month of November. On a year-on-year basis, the export unit value index dropped 2.9 percent. Meanwhile, the index for fuels rose 8.8 percent, the index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials and manufactured goods fell 6.5 percent, 2.8 percent and 2.9 percent, respectively, showed Turkish Statistical Institute.
Meanwhile, the overall import unit value index rose 1.7 percent year-on-year in November. While the index for food, beverages and tobacco, and fuels rose 1 percent and 17.2 percent, respectively, the index for crude materials and manufactured goods dropped 2.5 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively.
In terms of volume, the overall export index rose 12.7 percent year-on-year. The index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials, fuels and manufactured goods rose 10.4 percent, 14.9 percent, 2.7 percent and 16.6 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the overall import volume index fell 22.5 percent. The index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials, fuels and manufactured goods fell 13.9 percent, 24.5 percent, 16.8 percent and 24.2 percent, respectively.
The terms of trade came in at 99.8 in November 2018, falling by 4.7 points from November 2017’s 104.5.
