You can quickly find the headlines you're interested by typing the text expression you want to find. The resulting headlines are filtered on the fly (dynamically) and grouped into useful date intervals.

Custom selection of story view option (reader window, applet or browser) for each news source.:

The applet can display the stories in reader window (integrated window) or in applet window (new separated window). The view story option is available for each news source. By using this improvement you will be able to operate in a better and effective way with the application.

News lookup search:

You can use the new search facility by selecting the search terms, the part of the news where to check (story/headline) and the date interval.

The search facility also provides lookup search for multiple sources.

Define default search date interval:

When a search operation is made or from the settings tab you can easily set the default date interval. Next time when the applet is loaded the date interval will be automatically selected.

Print/print preview facilities:

In this version the stories can be printed. Use the print preview facility and take some time to look through the whole story before printing.

Sound on/off for flashes:

|
You can easily select the sound on/off option from the application toolbar. This option is available only for flashes

Attach/detach applet:
|
|
NewsApplet can be opened in a new resizable window by selecting detach action. The attach action will take back the window in the browser window.

More flexible options by offering the settings tab:

Now you can set the options like sound on/off, view story in reader window/applet window and select the monitoring sources.
|

Online alerts in a new tab:
|
|
You can define multiple alerts, enable/disable all or some of them, define sound on/off and simply delete an alert by clicking the delete button. The alerts are only set on the headlines and consist only of the words separated with a comma. A window shall popup each time an alert arrives.

You can save the configuration for alerts, alerts settings and general settings. For a better experience the alert log is automatically saved when a change occurs.
